Why do I need a Life coach? I’ll tell you.

The human brain suffers from word vomit. Constant chatter. Non-stop monologue. In yoga we call in, “The monkey mind.”

To create order among the word vomit, the brain WILL TAKE EITHER SIDE of an issue to STOP the monologue. One minute, your brain is agreeing with you, “Yes, buy the new car.” The next minute the brain offers, “Whoa, no, that thing is too expensive.”

This constant back and forth serves one purpose:

To maintain the status quo.

That’s right. The brain LOVES stasis. No change. Everything STAYS THE SAME. Don’t even THINK about moving the remote or buying a new car.

Each time we decide to step out of our comfort zone, make a change, do something different, the brain offers,

“Hey now, let’s think about this…do you really want to: Buy the new car? Try that new restaurant? Start that new business? Move the remote? Here, let me offer you all the reasons why it’s so much better NOT TO.”

It’s OK brain…I know you are THINK you are protecting me. But protection comes at the cost of forward motion, evolution, CHANGE.

The last thing your brain wants you to do is to hire a life coach. WHY?

My job as a life coach is to REVEAL your thoughts TO YOU. That’s it. I don’t give advice or agree with your brain or attempt to make you feel better. I will show you the thoughts that you refuse to examine because they are too close. (It’s like trying to teach your own child to drive…too close.)

Coaching helps you flush out sneaky thoughts and hold them up for scrutiny. Then, you decide what to do:

1. Keep these thoughts

2. Change these thoughts

3. Toss the thought completely and start over  (A favorite of mine 😊)

Think you can’t change your thoughts? Book a call. I guarantee I will give you at least ONE new thought to replace something that is currently not serving you.

A life coach holds up a mirror so you can “see” the thoughts that are holding you back and creating fear and inaction.
